What I am drinking today

November 25th, 2007

Costa Rica Herbazu (French Press/Chemex/Espresso) This is a coffee that will always be tied to the WBC for me, but it has been a coffee I’ve enjoyed drinking a lot this year. It shows wildly different sides depending on the roast style. In espresso it was soft, buttery, slightly herbal – in a good way – with a long, clean sweet finish that carried the roasted hazelnuts it gave off on the nose. A surprisingly good Single Estate espresso but difficult to roast for it.
