Ditting and Mahlkoenig to Merge

Interesting piece of news today – Mahlkoenig and Ditting are to merge under the Swiss company Hemro AG.

Apparently they will remain separate brands, and maintain their individual manufacturing companies.  Nils Erichsen is the appointed Managing Director.

The press release that went out today is the first I’d heard of it – though many know of their co-operation on the K30 grinder.

Not sure what it means in the long term, and I wonder what the rammifications are for distributors in other countries.

I can post up the full press release if anyone is interested?
