Signature drink time….

With regionals only a couple of months away the great lumbering issue of a signature drink is sat squarely in view.

I have an idea and today am deep in development, and I plan to write it up as I go and then post it after competition.

Last year’s utterly ridiculous signature drink has set me a bar I can’t reach again when it comes to visual inventiveness, but this year’s idea (as it is now) should tick the boxes for being fun, tasty and allowing me to indulge in just enough childish science.  I am waiting on some rental prices for some kit that will upset Nick Cho cos I know it was something he wanted to use on stage.

So… back to the kitchen – wish me luck!

  2. I have a chef friend at the labs of a restaurant called The Fat Duck who suffers my witterings and tells me when something just isn’t possible, as well as gives me great ideas about how to do things.

    I will take a finished drink back to him for further inspiration and refinement, as well as borrow his lab equipment from time to time…
