I’m slowly compiling a little coffee library and whilst satisfying the “collector” side of me it highlights something rather frustrating about this industry.
I can pick up one of twenty different books and find the same myths trotted out time and time again.
It’s not just in historical texts that we finds myths, rumour and legend – its in many of our training schools, and documents too. I remember my initial training and how little of it rings true today, so many people happy to repeat what they’ve heard without really questioning it, or wanting to understand it.
Back to literature:
Anthony Wild’s book is an exception to this rule and I recommend it highly – it’s well researched, he backs up his theories (on the history side anyway).
